Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1lb store bought pizza dough
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp thyme, minced
  • 2 cups shredded gouda
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley

Method

  1. Start by caramelizing the onions. Heat 2 Tbsp butter in a skillet over medium low heat. Add onions, salt, and sugar. Cook until the onions are browning and caramelizing, 15-20 minutes. Remove from the pan and turn off the heat.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a bundt pan.
  3. Cut the pizza dough into 1 inch pieces. Toss the pieces with 3 Tbsp melted butter, garlic, and thyme.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the gouda, mozzarella, parsley, and add in the caramelized onions.
  5. Working in layers, add the pizza dough bites and the cheese mixture into the bundt pan. This doesn't have to be layered like lasagnau002du002dmore that every bite of pizza dough should be touching some of the cheese. Fill up the bundt pan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Invert onto a board and serve immediately. Enjoy!
