Some ideas are better than others.
‘Nutella’ martinis are a decidedly good idea.
I picked up Italian chocolate liqueur as an impulse purchase the last time I was spirits shopping, and while I was making the Hazelnut Thyme Champagne Cocktails, I had the idea for these martinis. I couldn’t wait to try them! These ‘nutella’ martinis (no actual Nutella goes in to making these, but the hazelnut and chocolate combo makes you feel like you’re drinking the classic spread) are really fun, sweet, and the kind of cocktail that you could easily keep drinking. They’re perfect for an after dinner drink, of course, but why not serve them with appetizers at your next holiday party? Everyone appreciates dessert first. Chocolate martinis are also a classic drink to celebrate romance (I’m thinking of these for Valentine’s Day), and the added twist of Frangelico takes them to the next level. Bottoms up!
‘Nutella’ Martinis
Course: Recipes2

minutesIngredients
3oz chocolate liqueur
3oz hazelnut liqueur (such as Frangelico)
3oz quality vodka
2oz half and half
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add chocolate liqueur, hazelnut liqueur, vodka, and half and half. Give it a good shake. Pour into martini glasses and serve!
Notes
- I did not add a rim to this cocktail because I like the elegance and simplicity of this one on its own, and I didn’t want them to be TOO sweet. If you would like one, you could always add a chocolate swirl in the glass with a bit of chocolate syrup before pouring in the drink. Or try combining equal parts brown sugar, cinnamon, and turbinado sugar for a spiced rim on this one.
