A 5-minute party-worthy dessert to bring to mind a plate of cannolis! This flight features a raspberry white chocolate version, a classic cannoli version with chocolate chips and lemon zest, and a vanilla pistachio cannoli dip. Make all 3 and swoop in with waffle cookies and fruit.
Here’s an amazing party dessert to kick off 2025! It’s so easy to make (only 5 minutes to whip it all together), and will definitely disappear even faster. Take it to your next party, or just make it at home and dig in–you deserve it!

I really want recipes on this site to focus on things that feel like every day romance. Part of every day romance is celebrating the people that you love, including yourself. I’ve always thought cooking should be a way not just of nourishment but of taking some time for yourself to bring together a dish that you love, that will make whoever you’re cooking for really excited, and that doesn’t feel so labor intensive that you just want to be done with it. And I’m always looking for recipes whose results are more than the sum of their parts–dishes that make you just want to dig in! Finding recipes that make at-home food feel really special and elegant without spending loads of time in the kitchen makes life feel like every day is a celebration.
With that in mind, this is a perfect example of everyday romance when it comes to food. Visually, this cannoli dip is so stunning–the three different flavors beside each other almost feel like going to a gelato shop. All swirly and creamy and inviting. You won’t know where to start.
But even better, the cannoli dip is super quick to bring together with a hugely elegant impact. It’s really perfect for showing a partner or friends how much you love them.
The flavor combinations I chose here were things that made me think of classic Italian flavor combinations like chocolate, pistachio, and raspberry, but really the sky’s the limit. It would be fun to let your imagination fly and try different things–maybe candied orange peel or culinary lavender? Ooh or maybe a fudge swirl! Just have fun with it.

This would be a perfect holiday dessert given the red and green, but the raspberry white chocolate one in particular would be stunning for a Valentine’s Day treat.
The directions are very straightforward. The only thing to look out for here is make sure your mascarpone is at room temperature before you begin and that you mix the ingredients just to combine. I find mascarpone can easily become grainy if over whipped, so mix by hand and save your whipping aggression for whipped cream or scrambled eggs.
Every day romance in the kitchen needs to be fun, special, and worth your time! This is a perfect recipe to embody that and take time for yourself in the new year. Enjoy with love!
Cannoli Dip Flight
Course: Uncategorized12
servings5
minutesIngredients
- Cannoli Dip
15oz whole milk ricotta cheese, strained
8oz mascarpone cheese, room temp
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
- Flight Toppings and Mix-ins
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 cup pistachio
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp freeze dried raspberry, plus extra for decoration
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
waffle cookies, lace cookies, butter cookies, strawberries, pretzels, for serving
Directions
- Using a whisk, mix the ricotta, mascarpone, vanilla, and powdered sugar together. Mix only until this comes together–if you overmix, the mascarpone can become grainy in texture.
- Divide the cannoli dip mixture into three separate mixing bowls to make the flight.
- To the first bowl, add chocolate chips and lemon zest.
- To the second bowl, add the additional 1/4 tsp vanilla extract and pistachios. I added mine whole, but feel free to chop the pistachios depending how you prefer the texture.
- Put the freeze dried raspberries in a plastic bag, reserving a few extra for decoration on top. Pound the raspberries in the bag until they are a fine dust. Mix the raspberry dust and white chocolate chips into the third bowl.
- Serve with fun things to dip like waffle cookies, lace cookies, butter cookies, strawberries, pretzels, or anything else you think would be fun to dip!
Notes
- Make sure your ricotta and mascarpone (the mascarpone in particular) are at room temperature for this recipe. It will make it easier to mix and prevent you having to overmix the ingredients.
